Welcome

I was blogging when blogging wasn’t cool.

I started on AOL Journals. If that doesn’t date me, I don’t know what does. I wrote a little on Blogger, then moved to psychowith6.typepad.com when my friend, Barbie, who is much hipper than I am convinced me to give it a try. I enjoyed writing for friends and family in a style that has become the stuff of Facebook today.

When I published So You’re Not Wonder Woman, the book based on my popular talk by the same title, I felt I needed a corresponding website. Wonderwomen.typepad.com was born. I began writing “professional” posts for wonderwomen, saving my personal stories for psychowith6.

My blogging friends and I started communicating on Facebook and posted inconsistently. When another good friend of mine, Deb of CountingMyBlessings, became enamored with blogging, I returned to writing and started motivatedhomeschooler.com. I lost interest in both blogs again until Deb invited me to a SITS Girls Blogging conference. In advance of that, I moved wonderwomen.typepad.com to NotWonderWoman.com on WordPress.

I’ve been very motivated to blog since then, but realized that keeping up with more than one blog with my large family, homeschooling, and other hobbies just isn’t feasible. Deb suggested I return to psychowith6.com  and combine everything I’ve been doing into just one blog. So here I am and here you are and God only knows where we’ll go! But I’m glad you’re along for the ride. Psychowith6 is where I share what keeps me sane in homeschooling and life, with the hope that it will help you, too.

More recently, God has led me to start yet another blog (I know, I know) for readers who want a little bit of inspiration in their day. I share uplifting photos, videos, stories, Scriptures, and challenges that take you just a couple of minutes to read, but can encourage you all day. When you subscribe to The Inspired Day, I will also send you the 13 in ’13 Challenge that can make this the year you change your life.

Christian Bloggers Conversation

Are you a fellow Christian blogger who would enjoy talking privately about blogging? Join our Facebook group! This is not a blog post dumping ground, but a place to converse with like-minded folk.

Please read the About page to learn more about me and my family.

Then check out the Best Of page to read the best posts from all three former blogs.

If you find something you like, check out Why You Should Follow Me, and leave me a comment. I’m crazy about them!

Finally, I want to be honest with you about some of the links on this site. Some of them are affiliate links. That means that if you click them and buy the products they’re connected to, I will be paid a small commission. To date, I have not made a penny on affiliate links. So if you’re worried that your clicks will help buy me a second home in the Bahamas, rest assured. They won’t.

Find a post with a missing picture, a broken link, or it just doesn’t look good? I’m still moving in to the new site. Thanks for your patience as I work on cleaning up the mess.
